Unitel Long Distance Lowers Interstate Rate To 2.7 Cents!

Unitel Communications, one of our long-time long distance vendors, has announced that effective immediately, their domestic US interstate rate has been lowered to 2.7 cents per minute. This is one of the very lowest long distance rates available anywhere. At the same time, Unitel has dropped their monthly service fee for autopay customers.

AT&T is getting out of its primary business in several states because it lost discount rental rates on local phone lines. Existing business and residential customers can keep their phone service but no new residential long distance
customers will be recruited in Ohio, Arkansas, Louisiana, Missouri, New Hampshire, Tennessee and Washington.

In response to increasing demand, Kall8 Toll-Free has added another feature that will help customers track their calls better – Information Emails. At no extra charge, users can now get their call detail information in real time emails similar to the details currently provided with recorded calls. Each e-mail will include:

- Caller ID of the calling party
- Ring-to number
- Length of the call
- Time of day of the call
In addition, users will be able to indicate at which email address they choose to receive these details. They can use a different address for each number on their account if they would like, or change the address as the need arises.

WIRELESS NUMBER PORTABILITY IS NOW HERE!
Prior to November 24, 2003, if you owned a cell phone, you were stuck. Switching wireless phone carriers not only meant buying a new phone, but also meant giving up your phone number. But now, under a new federal regulation effective November 24th, wireless phone customers who live in the 100 most populated areas are able to take their phone number with them, subject to some limitations, when changing carriers. The rest of the country will be eligible by May 24, 2004.
